Babbitts

Babbitts were invented in 1839 as a metal
alloy to be used for the production of bearings. Although there are
hundreds or different kinds of babbitt we have only listed the most common ones.
If you require a babbitt that is not listed then please contact us - we can make
it.
There are two main types of babbitts, Tin
based and Lead based.
